Browser extension for flight sim dispatch

Send real-world flight details from Flightradar24 to SimBrief in a few clicks.

Flightradar24 to SimBrief helps flight sim users grab details from supported Flightradar24 flight and aircraft pages and open SimBrief with the relevant information ready to review. It is designed to cut down manual entry and make building dispatches faster with route, timing, and aircraft-related data.

Works with supported Flightradar24 flight and aircraft pages and opens SimBrief with captured flight information.

About the extension

What it does

The extension reads the supported data from a Flightradar24 flight or aircraft page and opens SimBrief with that information prepared for a new dispatch.

Who it is for

It is built for Flight Simulator users and other sim pilots who want a quicker way to create dispatches based on real-world flights.

Why use it

It saves time, reduces copy-and-paste work, and makes it easier to move from browsing flights to generating a SimBrief plan with route, departure timing, and aircraft details already carried across.

What's new in v1.2

  • Support for supported Flightradar24 aircraft pages as well as flight pages.
  • Options to send real-world departure time/date, aircraft registration, and your preferred airline code format.
  • Improved context menu behaviour, including clearer disabled-state messaging while page data loads.

How to use it

  1. Open a supported flight or aircraft page on Flightradar24

Go to a supported page on Flightradar24 where the extension can access the details it needs.

  2. Right-click on the page

Use the browser context menu on the page and choose the Flightradar24 to SimBrief action when it becomes available.

  3. Let the extension collect the flight information

The extension captures the relevant data from the page, such as route-related details, departure timing, and other supported values.

  4. Review the new SimBrief page

SimBrief opens with the captured information filled in. Review it, make any adjustments you want, and generate your dispatch.

Tip

The context menu entry is intended for supported Flightradar24 flight and aircraft pages, not for every page on the site. If you do not see it, or if it is temporarily disabled, confirm you are on a supported page and give the page data a moment to load.

Customise the options

The options page lets you tailor how the extension behaves when sending data to SimBrief.

Workflow

Control how supporting tabs open

Choose whether departure and arrival airport pages open as part of the workflow, and decide whether those tabs stay in the background or take focus immediately.

  • Departure airport tab
  • Arrival airport tab
  • Open airport tabs in background
Dispatch Data

Choose what gets sent to SimBrief

Fine-tune the flight data that carries across, including real-world departure timing, aircraft registration, and whether airline codes use the IATA or ICAO format.

  • Send real-world departure time and date
  • Send aircraft registration
  • Choose airline code format
Defaults

Set personal planning preferences

Save the values you use most often so a new SimBrief page starts closer to your normal workflow.

  • Preferred default cost index
Aircraft Rules

Build aircraft and airline-specific behaviour

Create rules by aircraft type, then add airline-specific overrides beneath them. Matching prioritises aircraft type first and then airline, with validation to help prevent duplicate entries.

  • Aircraft type rules
  • Airline-specific overrides
  • Duplicate validation
Open the extension's options page from your browser's extensions area, then save your changes before testing them on a supported Flightradar24 page. The options page also warns you about unsaved changes before you leave it.
