Flightradar24 to SimBrief is designed with privacy in mind. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit personal data.

How the Extension Works

When you use the extension on a supported Flightradar24 flight page, it reads publicly available flight information directly from the page (such as route, aircraft, and timing data).

This information is used to construct a SimBrief flight planning request.

Data Processing

• All data is processed locally within your browser.
• No data is sent to any server controlled by the developer.
• No analytics, tracking, or telemetry is performed.

Data Sharing

The only external request made is to SimBrief, when you explicitly trigger the extension action.

This request includes flight-related data required to generate a flight plan.

Permissions Usage

• contextMenus – Adds the “Send to SimBrief” right-click option on supported pages.
• tabs – Opens SimBrief and optional airport tabs.
• scripting – Reads flight information from the active Flightradar24 page.
• storage – Saves user preferences (such as options and aircraft rules) locally in the browser.
• host permissions – Required to access Flightradar24 pages and communicate with SimBrief.

Data Storage

The extension stores configuration settings locally using the browser’s storage API. These settings never leave your device.

Third-Party Services

This extension interacts with the following services:

• Flightradar24 – Source of publicly available flight data.
• SimBrief – Used to generate flight plans.

Remote Code

The extension does not execute remote code. All functionality is contained within the extension package.
